Missing Alfred State College Student Found Dead

BUFFALO, NY-- Alfred State College officials say a student who was reported missing on Wednesday is dead.

Eric Michael Green, 18, was found in the Town of Almond. No foul play is suspected. The teen is the son of Distinguished Teaching Professor Michelle Green. He lived on campus and was a first-year student enrolled in the computer information systems program.

He was reported missing to police on Wednesday. School officials say he was last seen on Monday, Nov. 18, just after 6 p.m., leaving the Student Leadership Center.

"Eric and the Green family have been part of our community for many years and we mourn his loss," said Alfred State Interim President Valerie Nixon. "We would like to thank all of those who expressed concerns since the moment Erie was reported missing."

The college's Health and Wellness Services will stay open until 8 p.m. Friday and will also be open on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. for students, faculty and staff who would like to talk to someone.
