Man killed in Chautauqua Co. Crash

One man was killed in a Town of Hanover crash Friday evening.

TOWN OF HANOVER, N.Y. -- Deputies say a motorcyclist was killed Friday evening in a crash at Route 39 and Hanover Road.

Deputies were called to the scene at about 6 p.m.

When they arrived, deputies determined Dawn Clayburg, 57, of Tonawanda had stopped at the Hanover Road stop sign facing south then headed south across Route 39.

Deputies say she did not yield the right of way to Brandon Hilton, 23, of Westfield. Hilton was heading west on Route 39. The two vehicles crashed, causing Hilton's vehicle to go into the oncoming traffic lane.

His vehicle then struck William Wagner, 61, of Forestville who was headed east on Route 39 on a motorcycle.

Wagner was seriously injured and taken by Starflight to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC).

Clayburg was charged with Failure to Yield Right of Way.  The accident is still under investigation.
