Man gets 30 years on child porn charges

BUFFALO, NY- A registered sex offender will serve 30 years in prison after a federal court jury found him guilty of charges related to the receipt and possession of child pornography.

The stiff sentence was handed down Friday by U.S. District Court Judge Richard Arcara.

In August, 2012, Paul Archambault, Jr., 29, enticed a minor into engaging in sexually explicit conduct after meeting via a social networking website.  He was previously convicted of possessing child pornography in the Northern District of NY in 2009.

Archambault's sentence will run consecutive to a seven year sentence he received for failing to register as a sex offender following the 2009 incident as well as for violating his supervised release.
