Man charged for downtown Buffalo stabbing

Arrest made in daylight stabbing

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A man has now been charged in connection to a stabbing Monday afternoon in downtown Buffalo, police say.

Hodjee Robins, 23, who has no permanent address, is charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

The stabbing happened near Court and Pearl streets around 1 p.m. Monday, police said. Robins allegedly stabbed a long-time friend, Quinn Eatmon, 24, of Buffalo, during a dispute.

Eatmon is in critical condition at the Erie County Medical Center, police say.

Robins was arrested by Kenmore police Friday on unrelated charges. Kenmore police later found out that Robins was wanted by Buffalo Police Central District detectives.

A video shot by city and private cameras played an important role in the investigation, Buffalo police said.
