Ken-Ton parents warned of suspicious incidents

Students Approached By Man In Tonawanda

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, NY-- The Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District is warning parents following two suspicious incidents this week.

The district says they were notified by police about two incidents where a man approached children.

The first incident happened Tuesday near Sheridan Drive and Parkedge Avenue.  School officials say a 14-year-old was approached by a white male driving a blue vehicle and made a threatening remark to the teen.  In this incident, the male is described as being 35-40 years-old, blond hair and scruffy appearance.

The second incident happened Monday near Starin and Englewood.  A white male allegedly made comments while passing bus stops.  He is described as having balding blond hair.

The vehicle in both incidents is described as a blue minivan or Trailblazer.

Parents are asked to remind children never to accept a ride from strangers and report any suspicious activity to the Town of Tonawanda Police.
