BUFFALO, NY-- Monday's good story is an update about an Amherst teenager who has spent months in the hospital recovering after being hit by a car.
Last August, Jacob Murphy was hit by a car while crossing Niagara Falls Boulevard on his bike. He spent weeks at Women and Children's hospital before being transferred to the Children's Institute of Pittsburgh -- he was there for months being treated for a traumatic brain injury.
The community has come together for fundraisers and support.
The good news, Jacob is home. He still has a long road to recovery, but friends of his family say Jacob is making huge strides and is now home with his family where he will continue to heal.
We send our best to Jacob and the Murphy family.
