Hamburg Superintendent's Car Gets Egged

HAMBURG, NY- For the second time in less than a week, Hamburg's Superintendent of schools has been the target of a crime.

Someone egged Superintendent Dr. Richard Jetter's rental car over the weekend, just a few days after a driver smashed into his car and left a threatening note while he was at a budget hearing.

Jetter, however, isn't letting the crimes phase him, tweeting out the following after his car was egged.

School Board President Dave Yoviene thinks despite this latest incident, the district will move forward.

"I guess it's just a small, very small, group of people, almost individuals that want to perpetuate this and keep giving the black eye to Hamburg and keep the stuff in the news media," Yoviene said.

Yoviene spoke with Jetter Sunday and says he's in good spirits.

"It's not going to scare him away and he is just such a, just such a positive [person] and he is always moving forward. Student achievement is his only goal," Yoviene said.

2 On Your Side has learned the incident could be brought up as a public comment during the Hamburg school board meeting Tuesday night.

The board is also expected to choose a date for Catherine Schrauth Forcucci's hearing. She is the board member who has been charged with official misconduct.
