HAMBURG, N.Y. -- A 25 to 30 million dollar sportsplex could be coming to the Town of Hamburg.
Town of Hamburg officials presented the proposed sportsplex, an indoor sports, exercise, and recreation facility, at a meeting Monday evening.
Sportstar Capital would spend 25 to 30 million, officials said, to build the complex in a location that has not yet been announced.
The facility would include ice rinks, basketball and volleyball courts, a training center, soccer fields and refreshment stands.
Sportstar is working to secure a grant to help cover the costs of the project. One of those grants would fund a solar roof that would result in half the electricity costs.
A public hearing on the project will be announced soon.
