OLEAN, NY - A New York State Trooper who died after a training exercise in Letchworth State Park went horribly wrong will be laid to rest this week.
A wake will be held Sunday and Monday in Olean. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Bonaventure University.
An investigation is still underway into why the 44-year-old, who was a 17-year veteran of the force, wasn't tethered during the drill.
Ross is survived by his wife, who is also a state trooper, and their three young daughters.
