Food Truck Tuesday draws crowd of thousands

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Tuesday night's beautiful weather meant big crowds at Food Truck Tuesday at Larkin Square.

Several thousand people lined up at 28 food trucks to get a bite to eat. This week’s event included local food trucks and some from Rochester and beyond.

Organizers say people tend to come and go in shifts, so there is plenty of turn-over in the free parking lots surrounding Larkin Square.

"We have an abundance of free parking and that's from First Niagara and Independent Health, our sponsors, and the event is free, so those are really things that we're proud of and that we can offer to the community. We have our ramp that we open a little bit later so our office tenants can leave, and that we just do for a nominal charge so people if they want they can have parking literally right next to the square," says Larkin Square’s Leslie Zemsky.

It costs five dollars cash to park in the ramp.
