BUFFALO, NY-- Flowers grown by inmates at the Erie County Correctional Facility have found a new home.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office donated hundreds of flowers to the Buffalo Olmsted Park's Conservancy's Riverside Park Friday morning. The inmates grew the flowers while participating in the Horticultural program, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The Horticultural program gives inmates the opportunity to grow flowers and other plants where they will then be donated to county parks, as well as area town and community organizations.
