Festival of Trees kicks off in Buffalo

ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF TREES BEGINS TODAY

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Snowball Black Tie gala kicked off the 39th annual Festival of Trees Saturday evening. 

The festival benefits the John R Oishei Children's Hospital, a state-of-the-art dedicated children's hospital being built in Buffalo.


The festival gets its name from the creative volunteers from across the region who design and decorate trees, wreaths, and mantle and window scenes for the public to view  Nov. 20 - 29th at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Buffalo. Seeing these festive displays is free. 

The snowball gala is one of three ticketed events at the Hyatt included in the Festival of Trees. 

A Designer Showcase Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held Tues. Nov. 22nd from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

A Festival of Glitter and Glamour Fashion Show will also be held Wed. Nov. 30th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. 2 On Your Side's Maryalice Demler will emcee the event.
