250 Delaware Project Progression

BUFFALO, NY - The building that will house the new headquarters of Delaware North Corporation has been rising up fast at the corner of Delaware Avenue and Chippewa Street.

Jill Pawlik with Uniland explains the project is on schedule. Crews have started to install the framing on the 10th floor of what will be a 12 story building. Also this week, workers have started pouring the concrete on the first floor.

Pawlik said,"The steel installation will be complete in about six weeks so early to mid October folks who pass by the site will definitely notice a big difference.

Delaware North, a global leader in hospitality and food services is scheduled to move in August of next year. The entire project is estimated to be complete by 2016.

The 250 Delaware project will include a flagship hotel and office space. There will be retail on the main floor as well as a parking garage. There will be a 7,000-square-foot courtyard and garden.

Pawlik said, "We're entertaining offers for the other office space from not only high profile Buffalo companies but companies from throughout the state who would like to have a Western New York office. Even companies from outside the state, who are now hearing that Buffalo is a great place to be and do business."

Currently there's an average of 35 workers on site, bringing a new look to a block that has transformed. When complete, it will be 12-story glass walled building.
