Construction project forces closure of court building

NIAGARA FALLS, NY-- The Niagara County courthouse in Niagara Falls was closed for a short time on Tuesday due to dust from a construction project.

The dust was tested and it was determined the material was not contaminated.  The cause may have come from a contractor that was working on Monday to remove an old vault door from the the first floor, according to officials.

The courthouse will be cleaned and reopened on Thursday morning.  All court matters set for Wednesday at the DelSignore Building will be held at the Niagara Falls City Court, 1925 Main Street.
