BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Although a 50-year-old man died last Friday, his spirit has been remembered by members of the Buffalo community who have gathered at MLK Park to celebrate his life since that day.
Rodney Cole died in a one-vehicle crash on Fillmore Avenue.
He is remembered as a loveable guy. Family and friends who have been gathering with food and music to remember him say they want to show a message:
"That people can come together without having to be policed about it," said Tony Little, who attended the gathering Wednesday night. "...[with the ]right mindset, spirit, love God...that's all you got to do and everything else will take care of itself."
The gathering will continue until Friday. Cole's funeral is planned for Saturday.
