CLARENCE, NY — Artists gathered at the Clarence Town Park for the annual Clarence Summer Art and Plein Air Festival.
A number of artists came out to paint all afternoon and compete for prizes. Organizers say it was a great way to bring art to life for everyone who came to watch.
"This was a way we thought would get people involved in actually creating the art, having people come by and see the artists as they are at work," said Peg Schwabel, member of the Clarence Arts and Crafts Society. "At the end of the day, they'll be judged, win a prize and maybe even sell the artwork that they created today."
