BUFFALO, N.Y.-- The former Women and Children's Hospital has new owners after closing its doors on Friday. Sinatra & Company Real Estate and Ellicott Development officially acquired the old hospital on Bryant Street on Monday.
Over the past few months, the firms have been meeting with neighbors, business owners, community and city leaders about the property.
The companies plan to build Elmwood Crossing, which will serve as a mixed use space that spreads over seven acres. The development will include apartments, a daycare, hotel, and grocery store. According to the press release announcing the acquisition, there are also plans for more green space and public art.
The firms estimate this project will be an investment between $90 and $110 million over the course of three to four years.
Sinatra & Company and Ellicott Development says the public can expect more details on the plans in early 2018.
