Buffalo Schools warn parents about strangers

Suspicious Man Follows Student On West Side

BUFFALO, NY--  The Buffalo School District contacted parents Friday to remind them to talk to their children about avoiding strangers.

The call follows an incident that happened Friday morning in which a male allegedly followed a female student near the area of Niagara and Virginia.

The female reported the incident to a school resource officer, who reported the incident to the B-District station.

The male subject is described as Latino, 5'5" to 5'7", heavy set, brown hair, thin beard and wearing a waist length brownish-grey coat.

District officials are asking parents to talk to their children about avoiding strangers and to be aware of their surroundings.
