Blues concert held to help homeless veterans

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A fundraiser Wednesday had attendees grooving while raising money for local homeless veterans.

The event held at the Sportsmens Tavern on Amherst Street in Buffalo raised money for the WNY Veterans Housing Coalition, an organization that aims to provide housing, employment and services for veterans and other special needs populations.

The event celebrated the release of a CD featuring many local and national artists that will be sold to raise money for local veterans in need.

Wednesday's event featured performances by Dave Constantino, Grace Lougen, Bob James and Friends, Robert "Freightrain" Parker, Randle and the Late Night Scandals and Doug Yeomans.
