Bills game traffic pattern to take effect for preseason game

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.  — The Erie County Sheriff's Office says the regular Buffalo Bills game traffic pattern change will take effect around New Era Field Thursday for the preseason game against the Vikings.

They also warn drivers that there will be a lot more vehicles on the road than usual in the Southtowns.

Rush hour and the Erie County Fair are expected to add to already busy roadways as fans head to the stadium.

Parking lots for the stadium opened about four hours before the game.

Abbott Road closed to traffic at 2 p.m. between the entrance to Lot 4 on the north side of the stadium and Preferred Parking Lot 2 on the south side of the stadium.

Route 20A will only allow eastbound traffic starting at 10 p.m. from Route 20A to Route 219.
