Arcade man charged with DWI

TOWN OF RUSHFORD, NY — An Arcade man is facing a driving-while-intoxicated charge after a traffic stop in the Town of Rushford on July 3, according to New York State Police.

Troopers arrested Wade M. Westfall, 32 of Arcade, for DWI and Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st. Westfall was pulled over for an expired registration. Police later determined he was driving with a suspended license.

After interviewing Westfall, Troopers detected the odor of a alcohol. Westfall then failed sobriety tests, according to police. He was taken to State Police Fillmore for processing and where he recorded a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent.

He was arraigned in Town of Rushford Court, and was remanded to the Allegany County Jail on $5000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Rushford Court on Aug. 7.
