Three Sent to Hospital after Accident on Millersport Highway

AMHERST, N.Y.- Three people were sent to the hospital Thursday evening after a serious three car accident on Millersport Highway.

Amherst Police say a Saturn Sedan was traveling north on Millersport when it was struck from behind by a Pontiac SUV while turning left into a drive.

The impact then pushed the Saturn into the southbound lane, where police say it was struck again by a Chevrolet van.

The driver of the Saturn, 26-year-old Rachel Cook, was transported to ECMC with hip and back injuries, according to police.

The driver of the Pontiac, 38-year-old John Wright was transported to Lockport Memorial Hospital with a shoulder injury.

The driver of the Chevy van, 54-year-old Timothy Mulvey, was transported to Lockport Memorial Hospital with injuries to his rib area.
