28.6 million proposed for Lockport schools

LOCKPORT, N.Y. -- Lockport school facilities could soon see major updates.

Voters will soon determine the fate of a $28.6 million dollar plan to improve the district's buildings and athletic fields.

A hearing was held Wednesday to fill voters in on the project.

It includes baseball, soccer and football field improvements. It would also develop a patch of vacant land on Beattie Avenue donated to the district earlier this year.

89 percent of the project's costs would be eligible for state aid.

The vote is Dec. 6th.
