CHARLOTTE, NC-Rain from Hurricane Matthew has forced NASCAR to postpone Saturday's running of the Bank of America 500.
Track officials announced that the annual October Spring Cup race will be pushed back until Sunday at Noon due to heavy rains at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
While not as hard hit as the coastal regions, wet weather is still battering the Charlotte area as Matthew makes it's way north.
This is the second straight year that rain has postponed the start of the race.
The Bank of America 500 is one of the "Chase for the Sprint Cup" races, the first after narrowing the field down to 12.
