Heinz recalls 500 cases of gravy

Before you heat up that gravy for Thanksgiving Dinner, you will need to check it.

Heinz is voluntarily recalling 500 cases of their Homestyle Bistro Au Jus Gravy because some jars may be mislabeled Heinz Pork Gravy and may not have 'containing milk and soy' on the label.

According to the FDA, people who have an allergy to milk or soy  could have a serious reaction if they consume this product.  There have been no consumer complaints or reports of illness related to this issue to date.

No other sizes, varieties or code dates of Heinz Gravy are included in this recall.  The recalled 12 oz. jars have a best buy 12/28/2017 and a manufacturing code: MU6F04 4Q XX:XX.

Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-866-572-3808 Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern, for a full refund.
