Are new federal guidelines to make school lunches healthier leaving children too hungry at the end of the school day?
That's what students at one school in Kansas say. The kids aren't disputing the healthy diet, they're disputing the amount of food they are given at lunch time. They say it doesn't fill them up enough to get through activities and sports after school.
The USDA announced strict new rules for school lunches earlier this year, doubling the daily servings of fruit and vegetables, restricting milk offerings to fat-free and low-fat, limiting calories based on age and increasing the amount of whole grains.
The Kansas students did a parody of the song "We Are Young" to "We Are Hungry" to get their message across.
