NEW YORK CITY - Guests at the Ritz Carlton in New York City recently experienced a completely different kind of "room service."

The Ritz Carlton is an exclusive hotel known for its fine dining, luxury suites, and relaxing spa. However, the Ritz recently became noted for a certain pesky problem: bed bugs. Officials of the hotel say that an exterminator had to be called in and certain parts of the building had to be evacuated on Sunday after a guest found bed bugs in one of the rooms.

According to The New York Times, workers of the hotel were given special training on Wednesday on how to identify specific signs of bedbug infestation, such as blood on sheets.

Single rooms at the Ritz start at around $700 a night, and can climb anywhere up to the $4,500 range for a one night stay in a suite.
