Empty Holster Delays School for Starpoint Students

PENDLETON, NY - Starpoint Elementary and Intermediate schools are operating as normal following a delay after an empty holster was found outside one of the schools.

According to Niagara County Sheriff Jim Voutour, an empty holster was found outside Starpoint schools just before 7 a.m.

High School students arriving at the building were kept on buses until deputies check the school and give it the all clear.

Officials tell 2 On Your Side, a parent found the empty holster Tuesday night outside, thought it was wrestling knee pad, put it inside on high school ticket counter ledge. An off-duty office says he had dropped his empty holster last night, and saw the lockdown on Channel 2 news Wednesday morning and realized the holster may be his.
