It's no coincidence that North Tonawanda, the "Lumber City", was at one time the carousel capital of the United States. The Niagara County city made more merry-go-rounds, and the wooden animals that adorned them, than any other place in the country.

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum hosts around 15,000 guests a year to its Thompson Road location. They are preparing for a busy holiday season. Besides two operating carousels indoors, Sants himself will be stopping by.
