LACKAWANNA, NY-- Police in Lackawanna have identified the woman who was a victim of a homicide over the weekend. Detectives say Tequila Suter, 26, was found stabbed to death at a home on Wilkesbarre Street Sunday afternoon.
According to police, Suter was found with multiple stab wounds. Police are still interviewing witnesses and no suspects have been identified or arrested.
On Monday, police tape still surrounds the front entrance to the home Suter was found in. The front door has been labeled as evidence.
According to her Facebook page, Suter attended Lockport Senior High.
On Monday, Suter's family is in mourning.
A family member, Dominique Suter wrote online: "I'm going to be strong for my niece sake, but I don't know how long I can do it," and that, "my mind won't let me accept the notion that you are not with us."
Lackawanna police say an autopsy on Tequila Suter was performed Monday morning, but the results of the exam have not been released.
