Traffic stop results in multiple drug charges for Akron residents

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y.— Two Akron residents were arrested on Grand Island early Friday morning, when several drugs were found inside a vehicle, along with a four-year-old, according to the Erie County Sheriff's Office.

Jo-Weon Abrams, 36, and Andrew Bilicki, 33, were stopped on Grand Island Boulevard for traffic violations.

When deputies began searching the vehicle they found two packets of heroin, a quarter ounce of cocaine, and an undisclosed amount of Vicodin (an opioid) and Clonazepam (a depressant) pills.

Abrams is charged with several counts for possession of drugs. Bilicki is facing two felony charges and a misdemeanor, also related to drug possession.

Police say a 4-year-old child was in the vehicle and has been turned over to relatives.

Both suspects were given an addition misdemeanor charge for endangering the child.
