Student charged for allegedly hitting principal

LACKAWANNA, NY--  A Lackawanna High School student is facing charges for allegedly punching the school's principal.

When a Lackawanna officer working security at the school, as well as the school principal, attempted to break up the fight, a 17-year-old female student allegedly punched the principal in the eye with a closed first. The officer arrested the student.  They say she refused to be handcuffed.

The student is charged with disorderly conduct, harassment and resisting arrest.  2 On Your Side is not naming the student, as she could be charged as a juvenile at a later date.
