BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A Rochester man accused of killing his mother in her Buffalo home was arraigned in court Thursday.
Froilan Torres, 41, is charged with manslaughter. Investigators say Torres struck his mother, Gloria Rivera, 57, in the head with a vase in her South Park Avenue home last month.
She later died of her injuries at the hospital.
Torres pleaded not guilty and was sent to jail without bail. He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
