WHEATFIELD, N.Y. - Police in Niagara County have charged a parent who they say made a bomb threat to an administrator at the school where her child attends.
28-year-old Chaqua Bembo on Niagara Falls is charged with falsely reporting an incident.
Investigators with the Niagara County Sheriff's Department say Bembo, whose child attends Niagara Charter School, got upset during a phone call with an administrator and threatened to "blow up the school."
The school initiated a hold in place policy, police searched the school, and nothing was found.
Bembo was arraigned Wednesday night, released on her own recognizance, and is scheduled to return to Town of Lewiston Court on November 10 at 6:00 p.m.
