Mayor frustrated over 8-year old who was shot

Mayor: "I'M Frustrated" Over Children Shot

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Donnell Bibbes remains in critical condition. The boy was shot in the head last Thursday night while sitting in a car and no one has been arrested.

Mayor Byron Brown says he is frustrated, "an eight-year-old boy was senselessly injured by a thug's bullet," he said.

Police say the boy was in a car with his mother and two older brothers.  They say one of the older brothers was the target in the South Division Street shooting.

"It's extremely frustrating," said the Mayor, "they know who was after them, they know."

There is a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the shooter.

The Mayor had this stern statement for the child's brothers "look at your little brother that you love, fighting for his life because someone was trying to get you, speak up, let us know who is out there."
