Man found sleeping in car facing multiple charges

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. —  A Buffalo man is facing multiple charges after Orchard Park Police responded to his residence to serve arrest warrants.

When officers arrived at 18 Iroquois Drive, they found 25-year-old Jeffrey Ciesla sleeping in the backseat of his car. Officers say when they attempted to wake him up, Ciesla began fighting with officers and resisting arrest.

He was eventually subdued after being tazed twice.

A crack pipe, marijuana pipe, five needles and drug paraphernalia were found in his possession and confiscated, according to police. Ciesla was taken to South Buffalo Mercy and treated for unresponsiveness due to an unrelated medical event.

He was eventually discharged and taken into custody by the Buffalo Police Department on their outstanding warrants. He was arraigned and sent to the Erie County Holding Center.

Orchard Park Police filed the following charges: resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration unlawful possession of marijuana; criminal Possession of Controlled Substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.
