LOCKPORT, N.Y. - A bus driver from Lockport is facing charges of felony Leandra's Law DWI, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and 32 counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Niagara County Sheriff James Voutour says his deputies responded to the Allie Brandt Bowling Lanes following a report from the principal of Anna Merritt School that a bus driver who left the school to take 32 children to the lanes appeared to be intoxicated.
58-year-old Diane M. Nelson of Lockport was arrested and sent to the Niagara County Jail. She's being held on $15,000 bail.
She's scheduled to appear in Niagara County Court on November 29th at 1:00 p.m.
