CASTILE, NY-- A former camp counselor accused of child endangerment is facing more charges.
New York State Police say Nicholas D. Maroney, 20, of Perry, was working at the YMCA Genesee/Camp Hough on West Lake Road when co-workers saw him exiting a bunk bed with a seven-year-old female in it on July 29. Police believe there is no report of sexual contact in this case.
Troopers interviewed several campers and staff members as part of that investigation and discovered Maroney allegedly had sexual relations with a 16-year-old female camper.
In addition to child endangerment charges, Maroney is now facing a sexual misconduct charge.
