BUFFALO, NY-- A Buffalo Police officer who was in trouble with the department before--is once again suspended.
Richard Hy was off-duty when he was allegedly involved in an altercation on Collins Avenue in West Seneca last month. Police say the altercation occurred with a group that was recording a music video in the street.
Hy was charged by West Seneca Police with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and harassment.
He was arraigned Tuesday. His next court appearance is November 29.
Following his arrest, Buffalo Police opened an internal investigation and suspended Hy without pay.
The three-year veteran of the Buffalo Police force was suspended without pay earlier this year after posting skits online using an account called "Angry Cops". His online parodies poked fun at the everyday things police officers encounter. At the time, he said they were intended to be humorous.
