Buccaneers WR, Buffalo Native Mike Williams Stabbed

BUFFALO, NY - Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Williams, who is a Buffalo native and former star at Riverside High School, is recovering in Florida after being stabbed in his home.

A spokeswoman for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says Williams was stabbed in the thigh with a kitchen knife around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Williams was taken by ambulance to an area hospital where he was treated and released.

Williams' brother, Eric Baylor, 23, of Buffalo, turned himself in Monday night at the Hillsborough County Jail. Police had issued a warrant for his arrest.

Baylor is charged with aggravated battery.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released the following statement about the incident:

"We are aware of the situation that occurred at the residence of Mike Williams and are working with him and the authorities to get additional information. While we have limited knowledge at this time, our primary concern is for the safety and well being of all involved. We will refrain from further comment until we can get a better understanding of the situation."
