Akron man facing multiple charges after crash

NEWSTEAD, NY— An Akron man is facing multiple drug charges after he was involved in a head-on crash in the Town of Newstead Thursday, according to the Erie County Sheriff's Office. 

Officials say Greg Morrison, 42, was found with suboxone strips and, according to the sheriff's Drug Recognition Expert, was high on drugs when the crash happened.

Officials also say a 12-year-old was in the vehicle with him. They were not seriously injured. 

Morrison now faces two drug related charges, two vehicle & traffic violations, a felony and misdemeanor charge related to endangering a child.
