OF COURSE TO BUBLE!

That title isn't even a question to those who went to the Michael Buble concert on Monday night. It had to be one of the best concerns I've seen. There wasn't theatrics or pyrotechnics or crazy choreography - there was just talent, sincerity and humor. His voice was simply amazing and I applaud him for bringing the crooner music back into popularity.
I always say I wish I was around in the 30's and 40's. I love everything about the era: the outfits/fashion, the women all looked like ladies and the men - just handsome gentlemen. And of course the Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra etc... swooner/crooner music.
With that said...
I'm so glad the modern day in age has an old fashion voice to listen to. I became an instant fan of Michael Buble's when I heard him sing on Regis and Kelly years ago. I swear if a camera was rolling as I watched him sing - it would have captured me zoning in on the small 13 inch box, melting into my college dorm room bed with my mouth dropping open further and further with every note he sung. I instantly called Dominick (my fiance) and told him all about the most beautiful voice I have ever heard and ultimately my absolute favorite singer. Soon after I had his very first CD... and every one after that!

I missed his first concern in Buffalo because I moved to Macon Georgia for my first T.V. job. The second time around I was surprised with tickets on Valentine's Day by Dominick. So I do have to say I'm a bit biased about this concert of his but truly it was great!

The talent began with Michael Buble's opening act Naturally 7. Each of the members (7 of them) were able to imitate instruments. A few I can remember are the bass, drums, harmonica, guitar, turn table and violin. As they sang it sounded as if an entire band was on stage when really it was all done with their mouths. As first I didn't realize it only them but once you got the idea it was amazing, very cool! If you would like to see what Naturally 7 does, youtube "Wall of Sound".
As for Mr. Michael Buble - he was incredible. All who went knew his voice, knew what he sounded like but when you walked away from the concert you knew a little more about him.
He took time within the show to get to know his audience. He pointed out a few people - a man with beautiful eyes, a teenage couple and a young Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clinton.
He made a few jokes and thanked us a few times for being there. He sincerely appreciates the fans that put him in the life he's leading now.
He put thought into his show, during the song "Home" images of Buffalo wer

e projected behind him and made reference to hockey and chicken wings. Even joked about all the Canadian fans and the Toronto Maple"Laughs" and how the Sabres and Canucks were headed to the Stanley Cup Playoffs next year!
His singing... I loved every minute of it. I only hope with each album he makes in the future more songs will be his own. My favorite moment was while he sang "A Song For You". It was one of his multiple encore ensembles and it gave me chills as he finished the song without a microphone. It felt so intimate as if he was only singing to me (and the 8,000+ other fans!).
If you were at the concert - send me a message! I would love to know what you thought about it and what your favorite moment was.
