GOWANDA, NY - A 2-On-Your-Side viewer is now a hero to a young, single mother who needed a vehicle to get daughter to her chemotherapy treatments.
The viewer who asked to remain anonymous donated an unwanted after she saw our story about Robin Zemke, and her three young children.
Zemke's 22 month daughter Lexi has been living with a very rare type of brain tumor and requires weekly chemo and other therapy visits in Buffalo. Zemke and her children live in Gowanda. Her old minivan is not only unsafe to drive but also isn't worth fixing.
Zemke says she's touched to know that another viewer would help her out in this way.
"It was nice to know that there are some very caring people that never have met me, never met my children and who cared enough about the situation to help me out."
News of Zemke's situation came to us through our 2-On-Your-Side Tipline. If you have a story you'd like us to look into, just give us a call at 849-2220, or email us by clicking on the "Talk To Us" box on our homepage.
