Newly Donated Wheelchair for Harry Walpole
BUFFALO, NY-- The kindness Natalie Rivera demonstrates with Harry Walpole is a perfect example of the old saying, "what goes around, comes around."
Three years ago, 2 On Your Side featured the story of a young girl who needed help purchasing a motorized wheelchair. From the help of our viewers she was able to get the new chair, and now she is returning the favor.
On Thursday, Ron Plants presented a story about Harry Walpole, a man who needed a new part for his wheelchair. After the story aired, Natalie and her family came forward and offered to help Harry out.
Natalie offered a wheelchair to Harry that her family has been keeping in storage. Natalie understands firsthand how important the independence is that a wheelchair provides.
Actually many people came forward to offer Harry help with a wheelchair. They range from an insurance broker to a health care equipment firm to other folks who simply had one in storage after it was used by one of their loved ones.
We'll keep in touch with Harry and see if he accepts the offer of Natalie and her family or one of the other generous individuals here in Western New York.
