Buffalo, N.Y. - A local food distribution company delivered a very special surprise to some students Friday,
Employees of CNS Wholesale Grocers were at Buffalo's International School #45 Friday afternoon, delivering school supplies that they had collected at work.
Students in Ms. Kasprzak's class were the first to get their supplies, which included pencils, paper, folders, crayons and markers.
"You wouldn't think something like school supplies would brighten them up as much as it did," said Ms. Kasprzak. "But they were just thrilled and they've been waiting all for the visit."
The supplies were collected through a drive organized by workers at CNS Wholesale.
"We're very grateful that we can do something like this," said Tony Adrahta. "Not only from my level but from all the associates that took the time to go out and purchase supplies and think about those who are less fortunate than us."
The supplies were distributed to students throughout the school. School #45 is made up of students from all over the world. Many are from refugee families living in Buffalo.
