GRAND ISLAND, NY -- Adam Richman, star of the hit Travel Channel TV show "Man v. Food" is in Western New York.

Richman visited the Riverstone Grill on Grand Island where he taped a segment for his show, talked with fans and signed autographs.  Richman and his crew flew into Buffalo Wednesday night but were up early getting beauty shots in Niagara Falls.  Richman spent most of the night at the East River Road restaurant.

Owners of the Riverstone Grill tell Channel 2, Richman ate the "Stone of the Bone" 48 oz. ribeye steak entree' that is priced at $36.00.  Results of his eating challenge will not been known until the episode of Man vs. Food airs sometime this Fall.

In each episode of Man v. Food, Richman travels to restaurants across the country, exploring the biggest and best eats our nation has to offer, including some of the craziest eating challenges around.  The goal is for Richman to finish each of the extreme portion sizes.

The Travel Channel found out about the Riverstone Grill after they contacted a local food columnist who lives on Grand Island.  The food columnist, who writes for Niagara County papers, tells Channel 2, Travel Channel producers wanted to stay out of Buffalo and Niagara Falls and away from chicken wings.  The columnist says she immediately thought of Riverstone Grill and the "Stone of the Bone" ribeye steak.

Erie County Film Commissioner Tim Clark says Richman and his crew will be in Western New York throughout the weekend.  We're told they'll be heading to two different restaurants in Canada this weekend.

Richman is in Buffalo following a trip to Syracuse where he stopped at a local diner called "Mother's Cupboard", a hot dog joint called "Heid's" and the infamous BBQ hot-spot "Dinosaur Barbeque".
