Karl Eastlack, the senior pastor at Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church in Clarence is leaving to become the new Chief Executive Officer of Worldhope International in Arlington, Virginia.
Eastlack and his wife Anita have seen the church family grow over the last 22 years from 19 members to nearly three thousand attenders every weekend. In 2000, the congregation built what many call a "mega church" facility on Greiner Road in Clarence as they outgrew the old facility up the street.
Pastor Eastlack told 2 On Your Side's Scott Levin this is a "God" thing for him and his family. He says it's difficult to leave Eastern Hills, but God is calling him to Worldhope.
Worldhope International is a relief and development agency that serves 32 countries. Eastlack says the board will be involved in finding a replacement for the Senior Pastor position at Eastern Hills Wesleyan.
