BUFFALO, NY - Devonte Johnson, a 21-year-old man who was stabbed in the course of a dispute Saturday evening, has died.
Buffalo police spokesman Mike DeGeorge tells us that homicide detectives arrested 25-year-old Jamie Galarza of Buffalo and charged him with murder in the second degree.
The assault happened on the first block of Euclid Place, where Johnson lived, just after 7:30 p.m. The victim was taken to Buffalo General Hospital where he later died.
No word yet on the names of the victim and suspect or what charges have been filed in the case.
Also, on Saturday, a 53-year-old man was stabbed multiple times by a woman he was arguing with on the porch of an address on Condon Avenue. That incident happened at about 11:30 p.m.
The victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center where he is listed in fair condition. The female assailant fled from the scene on foot but police say they know who she is.
