ROCHESTER, NY - After months of negotiating, Wegmans Food Markets Inc. and Teamsters Local 118 have come to a tentative agreement.

According to a statement issued after the two sides met Friday and Saturday, the tentative agreement will be put before the members of the bargaining unit for ratification.

Details of the agreement were not released in the statement. Wegmans spokeswoman Jo Natale said Saturday evening that no additional information beyond the statement would be released.

The Teamsters represent roughly 900 Wegmans drivers, warehouse workers and other hourly employees.

Teamsters members in September rejected the Gates-based grocery chain's contract offer in what has been a long and sometimes acrimonious negotiation.
