BUFFALO, NY-- Commercial vehicle traffic heading into Canada was halted while police investigated a suspicious package.
A Peace Bridge Authority official tell 2 On Your Side that a suspicious package was detected in the secondary processing area for trucks going into Canada at 2pm.
That secondary area was shut down at 3:30pm to sweep the area and check the package. Because that area was closed, commercial traffic had to be stopped because there is no place for other commercial vehicles to be inspected.
Niagara Regional Police have given the all clear and commercial traffic has resumed.
Car traffic is not being impacted at this time.
